CROWNING A CHAMPION

The PBR World Finals returns to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex for the fifth consecutive season, once again delivering the largest purse in bull riding history.

A record-setting $3.3 million will be awarded throughout the event, including the coveted $1 million bonus awarded to the 2026 PBR World Champion.

The revamped World Finals format continues to place pressure on every ride, beginning with the opening four rounds at Cowtown Coliseum before the field advances to Dickies Arena for the final stages of competition.

Five riders who qualified through the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour must record at least one qualified ride during the opening four rounds to avoid elimination from the competition.

NOTABLE RIDERS TO WATCH

John Crimber

John Crimber enters Fort Worth atop the standings after leading the title race for eight weeks this season. The Texas native seeks his first PBR World Championship after finishing runner-up in 2024 and fourth in 2025. Crimber captured event wins in Sacramento and Sioux Falls and leads the tour with 28 qualified rides.

Brady Fielder

Brady Fielder has emerged as Crimber’s primary challenger following victories in Boston, Indianapolis and Billings. Fielder climbed from No. 9 in the standings following Florida State in March to No. 2 entering the postseason. He looks to become the first Australian rider to win a PBR World Championship since Troy Dunn in 1998.

Daylon Swearingen

Daylon Swearingen enters the World Finals riding a wave of momentum after winning in Tacoma with a career-high 94.90-point ride aboard Pegasus. The 2022 World Champion has ridden eight of his last 10 bulls.

Sage Steele Kimzey

Sage Steele Kimzey remains tied for the premier series lead with three event victories this season, earning wins in New York City, Jacksonville and Little Rock. Kimzey also owns five round wins in 2026.

REMATCH RECAP

Six familiar matchups return in Round 1 of the 2026 PBR World Finals as riders prepare for another showdown against bulls they have previously faced during the 2025 and 2026 seasons.

Alan de Souza seeks redemption aboard CID’s Kid after the bull bucked him off in 6.63 seconds earlier this season in New York City.

Brady Fielder draws Cherry Shot for the second time after their first meeting during the 2025 Outlaw Days ended in a quick 2.14-second buckoff.

Claudio Montanha Jr. looks to remain perfect against Simple Man, whom he previously rode for 87.25 points during the 2025 Teams Championship in Las Vegas.

Dalton Kasel reunites with Turning Point, who bucked him off in 6.44 seconds earlier this season in New York City.

Marco Rizzo faces Sour Patch once again after the bull sent him to the dirt in 5.13 seconds during Little Rock earlier this year.

Sage Steele Kimzey attempts to stay unbeaten aboard Short Fire, whom he previously rode for 90.5 points during Rattler Days in Fort Worth in 2025.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY

The PBR World Finals has consistently produced some of the sport’s most memorable moments.

In 2025, Jose Vitor Leme completed one of the greatest postseason comebacks in league history, climbing from No. 18 entering Eliminations to capture his third career PBR World Championship.

Recent World Champions include:

• 2025 – Jose Vitor Leme
