COLORADO PRINGS, Colo. – Lucas Divino (Nova Crixas, Brazil) powered Team Star Command (STARCOM) to an 88.5-0 victory over Team Combat Forces to win PBR Space Cowboys, presented by U.S. Space Force, a Freedom 250 celebration at sold-out Falcon Stadium in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Saturday night.

Moments after being crowned the 2026 PBR Space Cowboys Champions, team captain Lucas Divino addressed the capacity crowd as PBR and more than 30,000 fans celebrated America’s 250th birthday with some old-fashioned bull riding.

“I told myself, one day if God gives me the opportunity to be a captain, I want to do things differently than the other guys. Not because they aren’t good, but I wanted to try something different and it worked out,” Divino said on the Fox Nation telecast.

“When I got here (the United States), I had a goal. I wanted to become a citizen, later, when God opens the doors for me. I wanted to show the world that God is real, and he’s still alive. If you have a dream, chase it. But don’t forget one thing: Put God in the center. He doesn’t want the corners. Put him in the center of your life.”

Divino, a Brazilian native, recently became a U.S. citizen and spent his time competing at the United States Air Force Academy in favorable fashion. Divino put the finishing touches on his team’s victorious run courtesy of an 88.50-point conversion atop Dirty South (Velocity).

Round 1 featured three teams each fielding ten riders with the top two in aggregate score set to advance to the final round. STARCOM dominated from the start, as the blue-jersey contingent rode 5 out of 10 possible bulls to start the evening that ended in a spectacular drone show with his own fireworks. Star Command earned the first two conversions of the night courtesy of successful strikes from Bruno Carvalho (Alvares Florence, Brazil) (86.10 points) and Kade Madsen(Honeyville, Utah) (88 points).

Star Command later received qualified rides from Bob Mitchell (Steelville, Missouri) (83.10 points), Leandro Zampollo(Pirassununga, Brazil) (85 points) and Alex Cerqueira (Iguatemi, Brazil) (85.80 points) to end the opening slate with a round-high 428.05 points as the first team to advance to Round 2.

Rocking red jerseys throughout the epic night, Combat Forces snuck into Round 2 with a walk-off re-ride conversion from veteran Eduardo Aparecido (Gouvelandia, Brazil) aboard Whiplash (The Sentinel) for 86.65 points during the final out of the opening round to claim the final spot and advance to the championship round featuring one head-to-head, five-on-five game.

Combat Forces paired the last-minute heroics with conversions from Marco Rizzo (Quitman, Georgia) (88.15 points), Elizmar Jeremias (Anapu, Brazil) (89.30 points) and Austin Richardson (Dallas, Texas) (88.60 points) to score 352.70 points and earn a head-to-head showdown against Space Command for all the marbles.

Space Command edged out Space Systems by a mere 4.65 points, thus eliminating the unit sporting white jerseys Saturday night.

Team captain Lucas Divino kept the momentum rolling in Round 2 for Star Command, scored 88.50 points as the lone cowboy to go the distance in the second round, securing the 88.50-0 victory.

Prior to the event, 33 cadets (29 U.S. Air Force, 4 U.S. Space Force) took the oath of service, committing their future to protecting and serving the United States of America.

The one-day event featured a $250,000 purse and a combined 30 competing riders, who donned custom red, white and blue uniforms corresponding with their respective teams while honoring Space Force servicemen and women alongside the USA’s 250th birthday.

Each of the event’s participating bovines were also given ceremonial nicknames, reflective of military terms or phrases (and included below in parenthesis following the bull’s actual name).

Honorary coaches were named for each of the event’s teams, with military personnel officially leading the charge atop the chutes for Saturday’s squads.

Following the custom drone show, country music superstar Tim McGraw graced Saturday’s sold-out crowd with a post-event concert, which put an electric exclamation mark on an action-packed afternoon of entertainment at the United Stated Air Force Academy.

Saturday’s competition is available to stream on Fox Nation.
