FORT WORTH, Texas (July 16, 2026) – PBR (Professional Bull Riders) and the Million Dollar Bull Team Challenge (MDBTC) have announced a three-year extension of their partnership, ensuring the innovative program will remain a featured component of select PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour events through the 2029 season.

The renewed agreement builds upon a successful partnership that began with the program's first full season in 2019, continuing a relationship that benefits the sport’s stock contractors while helping ensure a consistent pipeline of elite bovine athletes competing on the Velocity Tour. Since its inception, the Million Dollar Bull Team Challenge has paid out more than $16 million.

The Million Dollar Bull Team Challenge serves as a unique collaboration between PBR and MDBTC, creating a platform that showcases the industry’s premier bucking bulls while enhancing competition at Velocity Tour events nationwide. Under the partnership, MDBTC supplies the bulls for select events, while PBR provides a world-class competitive stage and fan experience.

“The Million Dollar Bull Team Challenge has become an important part of the Velocity Tour experience, strengthening our commitment to supporting stock contractors while ensuring fans continue to see outstanding bull athletes competing at our events,” said Robert Simpson, SVP, Core Properties, PBR. “We're excited to continue building on the success we’ve achieved together over the past several seasons.”

Each season, the Million Dollar Bull Team Challenge competes at 20 select Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour events across the United States. At each event, 36 bulls representing 18 two-bull teams compete head-to-head using PBR’s official judging and bull scoring system. Those scores determine event results and season-long standings, with qualifying bulls advancing to the Velocity Tour Finals in Corpus Christi, Texas, where they compete for the prestigious year-end championship and significant prize money.

"The partnership with PBR has elevated the Million Dollar Bull Team Challenge by providing an unmatched platform to showcase the incredible bulls raised and developed by our stock contractors," said MDBTC President & CEO Justin Rico. "Extending this agreement ensures continued opportunities for our teams while strengthening the quality of competition throughout the Velocity Tour season."
