“The PBR Teams league is proving exactly what we envisioned – competitive, unpredictable, and appealing to both avid PBR fans and the casual sports fan drawn to team competition,” said PBR CEO and Commissioner Sean Gleason. “Four different champions in four years shows just how wide open this league is. Beyond the thrilling competition, our team structure is putting more money in riders’ pockets and giving them more ways to advance their careers. This schedule sets the stage for our biggest and most exciting season yet.”
The 2026 PBR Teams season, the league’s fifth, will feature homestand events hosted by each of the 10 teams, plus two multi-day neutral-site events. During the 175-game regular season, each team plays one game per event day, totaling 35 games per team. Fans will witness all teams competing on each event day in one 5-on-5 head-to-head game per team.
The CBS Television Network will be airing games nationally for the fifth consecutive season with The CW broadcasting games for their second consecutive season.
The season’s key matchups include:
- Saturday July 11 in Fort Collins, CO – the Carolina Cowboys open the 2026 season defending their title against the Nashville Stampede, the league’s inaugural champions in 2022
- Saturday July 11 in Fort Collins, CO – the debut of the Oklahoma Wildcatters new Head Coach Greg Rhodes against the Missouri Thunder
- Friday August 14 in Nashville, TN – the Carolina Cowboys play the Missouri Thunder in a rematch of the 2025 Championship
- Saturday August 22 in Austin and October 3 in Fort Worth, TX - rivalry games between Gamblers and Rattlers on each team’s home dirt
- Saturday September 5 in Ridgedale, MO – the Thunder host the Outlaws in an outdoor Labor Day weekend rivalry game at Thunder Ridge Nature Arena
- Sunday October 25 in Kansas City, MO – the regular season’s final game pits reigning Champion Carolina Cowboys, who opened the season, against the Kansas City Outlaws

The Nashville Stampede (2022 Champions), Texas Rattlers (2023), Austin Gamblers (2024) and Carolina Cowboys (2025) are each riding for a second title. Six other teams seek their first championship.
On June 2, the 2026 Teams Draft brought PRCA (Professional Cowboy Rodeo Association) stars Hayden Welsh and Ky Hamilton to the Kansas City Outlaws and the Nashville Stampede, respectively, while the league’s reigning MVP, John Crimber (2024 and 2025) returns to ride for the Florida Freedom, who selected him with the number one overall pick in 2024 and seek their first championship.
The 2026 PBR Teams regular season is comprised of homestand events hosted by each of the league’s ten teams – Arizona Ridge Riders, Austin Gamblers, Carolina Cowboys, Florida Freedom, Kansas City Outlaws, Missouri Thunder, Nashville Stampede, New York Mavericks, Oklahoma Wildcatters and Texas Rattlers – and neutral site games in Anaheim, Calif. and Fort Collins, CO.
The league recently announced an intention to expand to 12 teams for the 2027 season.
