Missouri Thunder complete second straight perfect weekend to run win streak to six games, moving to second in PBR Teams standings

Carolina Cowboys defeat Austin Gamblers to pull even at 9-5 with Missouri, one game behind the league-leading Nashville Stampede.

AUSTIN, Texas – Completing a second straight perfect weekend, the Missouri Thunder (9-5) defeated the Arizona Ridge Riders (8-6) 268.05-86.6 Sunday afternoon in the final day of Gambler Days presented by Tecovas at Moody Center.

Extending their win streak to six games, the Thunder moved to No. 2 in the 2026 PBR Teams standings, one game behind the Nashville Stampede (10-4), who went 1-2 on the weekend.

Missouri’s Paulo Eduardo Rossetto (Colorado, Brazil) scored 88.75-points on Max Bet to open the game, marking his seventh consecutive ride and second straight perfect 3-for-3 weekend. Arizona struck back in the bottom of the frame when Everton Natan da Silva (Viradouro, São Paulo, Brazil) rode Rock ‘n Roll for 86.6 points. In the third, Julio Cesar Marques (Tatuí, São Paulo, Brazil) rode Spade for 89.45 points to extend Missouri’s lead. Maverick Smith (Cabool, Mo.) clinched the win with 89.85 points on Easy Come, Easy Go to complete his 3-for-3 weekend.

After snapping a six-game losing streak on Saturday night, the New York Mavericks (3-11) won again on Sunday, riding three bulls to take down the Kansas City Outlaws (6-8). Mauricio Gulla Moreira (Gaviao Peixoto, São Paulo, Brazil) set the tone of the game when he and Black Eyes combined for 90.75 points in the first for the Mavericks. Kansas City answered with their lone ride of the game, an 89.2-point ride by Koltin Hevalow (McAlester, Okla.) on Dirty Honey in the second. New York’s Leandro Zampollo (Pirassununga, São Paulo, Brazil) countered with 88.95 points on The Heatin the bottom of the frame. With the game in hand for New York, 2026 PBR Rookie of the Year Marco Rizzo (Quitman, Ga.) added 87.7 points on El Chapo.

The Florida Freedom (7-7) outrode the Nashville Stampede (10-4) three rides to two in a 267.2-179.2 victory in the third game of the day. Florida opened the game with three consecutive rides. Austin Richardson (Dallas, Texas) led off with 89.25 points on Ratchet Strap, Alex Cerqueira (Iguatemi, Brazil) bested Husky in the second frame for 87.05 points, and João Lucas Campos (Porto Feliz, São Paulo, Brazil) put up the highest score of the game in the third with 90.9 points against Cookie. The Stampede scored in the opening and final frames with Alan de Souza (Tremembé, São Paulo, Brazil) recording 90.7 points on Freedom Fighter and Riquelmi Silva (Bom Jesus do Araguaia, Brazil) adding 88.5 points on OptiWize Mercy.

The Oklahoma Wildcatters (5-9) put their names in the win column to close out the weekend, taking down the Texas Rattlers (7-7) 178.75-88.5. Texas got on the scoreboard with an 88.5-point ride by Daniel Keeping (Montague, Texas) on Game Over before Oklahoma took the lead as Trace Redd (Malad, Idaho) took down Take Down for 89.05 points on a re-ride attempt. In the fifth frame, Eduardo Matos (Emilianópolis, São Paulo, Brazil) put the Wildcatters a bull ahead in scoring 89.7 points on Flyin’ Solo.

The Carolina Cowboys (9-5) scored on their first four bulls to dominate the host Austin Gamblers (6-8) 346.85-175.65 in the final matchup of the afternoon. Carolina’s Thiago Salgado (Naviraí, Brazil) opened the game with 90.8 points on Baylor’s Bandit in the first followed by Guilherme Valleiras (Pirassununga, São Paulo, Brazil) covering Pale Face for 87.25 points in the second. Clay Guiton (Cherryville, N.C.) earned his first ride of the season after a tough start following an injury in February with an 87.45-point ride on Outlaw in the third. Keyshawn Whitehorse (McCracken Spring, Utah) put up the fourth score for Carolina with 81.35 points on Ransom.

Austin had a pair of rides courtesy of three-time PBR World Champion Jose Vitor Leme (Ribas do Rio Pardo, Brazil) with 88.75 points on Mayor of Hogeye followed by an 86.9-point ride by Dener Barbosa (Paulo de Faria, São Paulo, Brazil) on J Lazy S in the second frame.

Leme has been unstoppable on his last nine bulls. He continues to run the table for the PBR Teams MVP Race with 1,063.2 points over 12 rides on the season, leading Missouri’s Rossetto by 92.1 points.

Wicked Intentions was the high-marked bull of the event, scoring a monstrous 46.25 points – the top bull score of the 2026 PBR Teams season.

PBR Teams will take a week off before returning with Bass Pro Shops PBR Thunder Days presented by DoorDash at Thunder Ridge Nature Arena Sept. 4-6 in Ridgedale, Mo. Tickets are available to purchase at ticketmaster.com and PBR.com.
