ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Missouri Thunder (13-6) defeated the New York Mavericks (4-15) three rides to one to extend their advantage in the PBR Teams league standings tiebreaker to open day two of PBR Teams: Anaheim at Honda Center Saturday.

While the Thunder – winners of 10 of their last 11 games – are tied with the Nashville Stampede in wins, they hold the No. 1 spot in the league based on their league-leading aggregate points total.

Missouri’s Paulo Eduardo Rossetto (Colorado, Brazil) extended his ride streak to 12 games, now the longest active streak in the league and one away from tying the record, with a 90.05-point ride on The HONDO to give the Thunder the early lead. Felipe Furlan (Sales Oliveira, São Paulo, Brazil) bested Intoxicated in the third frame for 88.45 points to extend the advantage. Mason Taylor (Maypearl, Texas) rode Outlaw in the fourth for the third and final ride of the game for 86.8 points.

In a tight battle featuring three lead changes, the Carolina Cowboys (12-7) bested the Texas Rattlers (11-8) 177.45-175.9 to move up to third in the PBR Teams standings. Texas was first on the board as Brady Fielder (Clermont, Queensland, Australia) rode Turning Point for 87.75 points to open the game. Carolina’s Guilherme Valleiras (Pirassununga, São Paulo, Brazil) bested Cracky Chan in the second frame for 89.35 points to take the lead. Valleiras continues to lead the Cowboys in the MVP Race with 791.1 points and in qualified rides with nine. Lucas Divino (Nova Crixas, Brazil) rode Rhino USA Mouse Trap for 88.15 points in the fourth, his second ride for the Rattlers in his three outs since joining the team. Carolina’s Jess Lockwood (Volborg, Mont.), a two-time PBR World Champion, solved Cramer for 88.1 points in the fourth, ultimately the ride that won the game.

Carolina has now beaten Texas in all three meetings this season.

The Florida Freedom (9-10) edged the Kansas City Outlaws (6-13) 89.45-87.9 to improve to a perfect 11-0 record within the Honda Center. Kansas City gained the early advantage as Sandro Batista (Pedra Preta, Brazil) rode Carlos Dangerfor 87.9 in the first. Austin Richardson (Dallas, Texas) bested Bowser for 89.45 points on a re-ride opportunity to give Florida the lead that would last for the win.

The Nashville Stampede (13-6) defeated the Oklahoma Wildcatters (8-11) 86.6-85.75 to remain tied for the best record in the league alongside Missouri. Nashville’s Gustavo Luiz da Silva (Inocência, Brazil) rode Jojo for 86.6 points in the third. Oklahoma’s Eduardo Matos (Emilianópolis, São Paulo, Brazil) rode Smooth Violation in the final out for the Wildcatters for 85.75 points, falling .85-point short of the comeback win.

In the final game of the night, the Austin Gamblers (10-9) beat the Arizona Ridge Riders (9-10) by less than a point in a 177-176.35 battle, extending their win streak to three games. Dalton Kasel (Muleshoe, Texas) recorded 89.75 points aboard Black Eyes in the second frame for Austin while 2018 PBR World Champion Kaique Pacheco (Itatiba, São Paulo, Brazil) then bested Horchata for 87.25 points in the third.

Arizona’s pair of rides were earned by Vitor Manoel Dias (Sales, São Paulo, Brazil) on Andy Frisella’s Cupcake for 88.05 points on a re-ride opportunity and Everton Natan da Silva (Viradouro, São Paulo, Brazil) with an 88.3-point ride on Big Mac.
