PBR Teams: Cowboy Days presented by Patriot Mobile marks the eighth event of the 2026 PBR Teams season as all 10 teams head to First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. Action begins Friday, Sept. 18, at 7:45 p.m. ET, continues Saturday, Sept. 19, at 7:15 p.m. ET and concludes Sunday, Sept. 20, at 12:15 p.m. ET.
Friday’s opening action will stream live and exclusively on Paramount+ beginning at 7:45 p.m. ET. Saturday’s slate will air live on The CW beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET, while Sunday’s action will air live on The CW beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET. CBS Games of the Week will also feature Nashville Stampede vs. Texas Rattlers and Oklahoma Wildcatters vs. Carolina Cowboys on Sunday. Check your local listings for the CBS broadcast time.
TWO TEAMS STILL SETTING THE PACE
Missouri and Nashville leave Anaheim exactly where they have spent much of the season — together at the top.
The Thunder and Stampede both went a perfect 3-0 in California to improve to 14-6, but Missouri owns the No. 1 position with 4,247.05 aggregate points compared with Nashville’s 4,154.05, a difference of 93 points.
Missouri has now won 11 of its past 12 games, while Nashville responded to a rare 1-4 stretch by sweeping Anaheim.
And neither was the only team to leave California perfect.
Austin also went 3-0, extending its winning streak to four games and jumping from No. 6 to No. 4 in the standings at 11-9. The Gamblers are tied with the No. 5 Texas Rattlers by record but hold a 728.70-point advantage in aggregate score.
Carolina, meanwhile, returns home sitting No. 3 at 12-8 after a 1-2 weekend in Anaheim.
The defending PBR Teams Champions are only two games behind Missouri and Nashville, giving Cowboy Days another opportunity for the standings to tighten with five regular-season events remaining before Las Vegas.
2.55 POINTS SEPARATE THE MVP LEADERS
Friday’s Missouri-Austin matchup brings the top two riders in the PBR Teams MVP race into the same game.
Jose Vitor Leme remains No. 1 with 1,504.10 points.
Paulo Eduardo Rossetto sits No. 2 with 1,501.55.
The difference is just 2.55 points.
Both riders enter Greensboro with 17 qualified rides through 20 games and an 85% riding percentage.
Rossetto is scheduled to lead off for Missouri against UB Smooth, while Leme draws White Out for Austin.
Rossetto also arrives with history within reach.
His 13 consecutive qualified rides tie Leme’s PBR Teams record. If Rossetto reaches the whistle Friday, he will extend the streak to 14 and own the longest consecutive qualified-ride streak in league history outright.
Rossetto has also been producing big numbers along the way. He leads PBR Teams with five 90-point rides this season, while Leme has three.
CAROLINA COMES HOME
The Carolina Cowboys return to Greensboro for the first time as defending PBR Teams Champions and will have three opportunities to use home dirt to close the gap at the top.
Carolina opens Friday against the No. 8 Oklahoma Wildcatters before meeting No. 2 Nashville on Saturday and No. 6 Arizona on Sunday.
The Cowboys enter the weekend 12-8 with 34 qualified rides through 100 outs.
Their Saturday matchup could be especially important.
Nashville begins Cowboy Days two games ahead of Carolina, meaning a Cowboys victory would simultaneously add a win to Carolina’s record and hand a loss directly to one of the teams it is chasing.
Carolina’s projected Friday lineup features Adriano Salgado, Clay Guiton, Ethan Skogquist, Guilherme Valleiras and Thiago Salgado.
REMATCH RECAP
Several riders will see familiar bovine opponents during Friday’s opening slate.
Kansas City’s Cassio Dias meets American Made for the third time this season after riding him for 90.20 points in Ridgedale.
Koltin Hevalow gets another opportunity against Velvet Revolver, who dispatched him in 2.77 seconds in March 2025.
Arizona’s Luciano De Castro reunites with Fringe Minority after lasting 7.57 seconds against him earlier this month in Ridgedale.
And Sandro Batista looks to stay perfect against Political Cowboy after riding him for 85 points in Fort Worth in February.
In the Missouri-Austin game, Julio Cesar Marques looks to improve to 3-1 against Hoobastank, while Kaique Pacheco brings two previous qualified rides into another matchup with XIT Knock Out.
Sage Steele Kimzey also gets a rematch with EmmDee, who bucked him off in 4.21 seconds last month in Nashville.
Texas veteran João Ricardo Vieira will try to solve War Wagon after two previous buckoffs, including a 7.80-second attempt, while Nashville’s Riquelmi Silva looks to remain perfect aboard Holy Shift after riding him for 85 points last August.
ANAHEIM SETS A NEW BAR
Anaheim produced both the highest rider score and highest bull score of the 2026 PBR Teams season.
Missouri’s Macaulie Leather covered King Tut for a career-high 93.35 points, the highest ride score of the Teams season.
King Tut later answered with a season-best 46.70-point bull score against Sandro Batista, earning high-marked bull honors for the event.
Leather’s ride also gave him his fourth 90-point ride of the season, second only to Rossetto’s five.
With Missouri and Nashville trying to extend perfect weekends into another run, Austin riding a four-game winning streak, Carolina back on home dirt and only 2.55 points separating the MVP leaders, Cowboy Days arrives with plenty still unsettled.
