By James Youness

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Three-time PBR World Champion Jose Vitor Leme (Ribas do Rio Pardo) clinched the Austin Gamblers (21-13) a Top 3 seed and first-round bye at the 2026 PBR Teams Championship while surpassing two-time PBR World Champion Chris Shivers (Jonesville, Louisiana) with the most 90-point rides in history with the 95th of his career by besting Moonlight Graham for 90.55 points during the second night of PBR Teams: Outlaw Days presented by Bad Boy Mowers and Tractors in Kansas City, Missouri on Saturday.

With the monster ride, which topped Chris Shivers’ record of 94 qualified rides that stood for 14 years, Leme also secured the 2026 MVP honors for the third time, a league record.

“This means a lot. This is a great place for this to happen with this crowd cheering for us and supporting us. Thanks everybody and I thank God for this ability to ride bulls. Congratulations to Chris (Shivers), too, because he held that record for so long, and I never expected to beat that, but everything happens for a reason and I just thank God for everything he does in my life,” Leme said on the Paramount+ broadcast.

“It’s a great night for me and a great night for my career and I’m just so happy. I thank God for everything. Another great title in my life, another great accomplishment for my career. Three-time MVP and I’m just starting. I’m still there, and I’m going to hang in there and try again.”

No. 2 Austin defeated the No. 10 Oklahoma Wildcatters (12-22) to join the Missouri Thunder (24-10) as the two squads with Top 3 seeds secured for the 2026 PBR Teams Championship, while the league’s other 8 teams continued to battle it out for the final bye and best seeding in next month’s postseason tournament.

The hometown No. 6 Kansas City Outlaws (15-19) rode two bulls to get in the win column on home dirt, while the No. 7 New York Mavericks (15-19) defeated the No. 4 Nashville Stampede (18-16). Florida advanced to No. 8 with a victory over the Carolina Cowboys, while the No. 5 Texas Rattlers (17-17) beat the No. 9 Arizona Ridge Riders (14-20).

Leme (Ribas do Rio Pardo, Brazil) led his Austin Gamblers (21-13) to a 90.55-89.10 win over the Oklahoma Wildcatters (12-22) to become the first rider to record PBR Teams MVP honors for the third time. He and the Florida Freedom’s John Crimber had won the award twice. Renan Almeida Alves (Orlândia, Brazil) was the only other man to survive the requisite 8 Saturday, marked 89.10 points on Aggie Pete, but not enough to surpass the Gamblers in their 90.55-89.10 victory.

The New York Mavericks upset the Nashville Stampede to keep their hopes of avoiding the Ride-in Game alive. Afonso Quintino (São Luís de Montes Belos, Brazil) bested Snake Eyes for 86.90 points in the top of first, while Marco Rizzo(Quitman, Georgia) went the distance atop Cramer (88.15) and Mauricio Gulla Moreira (Gaviao Peixoto, Brazil) conquered War Wagon in the bottom of the fifth to solidify a 264.40-87.85 victory. Riquelmi Silva (Bom Jesus do Araguaia, Brazil) recorded Nashville’s lone ride of the night, scored 87.85 during the Stampede’s final out to get his team on the board, but the Stampede fell three ride scores to one during Saturday’s opening game.

The Florida Freedom (15-19) rode four bulls to upset the No. 3 Carolina Cowboys (19-15) 356.45-88.15. Luciano De Castro (Guzolandia, Brazil) advanced his record to 5-for-5 since being acquired by the Freedom to get his new team on the board early. Murilo Henrique de Oliveira (Pereira Barreto, Brazil), bested Rock n’ Roll for 88.45 points in the top of the second before Austin Richardson (Dallas, Texas) returned to competition and topped Margin of Error for 90 points. Vinicius Rodrigues Pereira (Itapagipe, Brazil) survived the requisite 8 atop American Made for 90.50 points in the bottom of the fifth as the Gamblers cruised to a win. Ezekiel Mitchell (Rockdale, Texas) recorded 88.15 points for the Cowboys’ lone score.

The Texas Rattlers beat the Arizona Ridge Riders by one ride score Saturday, keeping the Ridge Riders in the bottom three in the standings. Eduardo Aparecido (Gouvelandia, Brazil) notched the first qualified ride of Game 4, but the Rattlers’ Qynn Andersen (Koumala, Australia) regained the lead for Texas with a stunning, career-high 90-point ride aboard Huey during the top of the third. Vitor Manoel Dias (Sales, Brazil) survived the requisite 8 atop Loud for 88.85 points, but a successful re-ride attempt aboard Wicked Solo from Jean Carlos Teodoro (Mirante Do Paranapanema, Brazil), a career-best 91.05 points, secured the win for the Rattlers. Veteran João Ricardo Vieira (Itatinga, Brazil) put the finishing touches on the Rattlers’ win, scored 87.35 points in the bottom of the fifth to solidify the 268.40-178.25 final.

During Saturday’s Show Me State Showdown, the hometown Outlaws beat the Thunder 178.50-89.50, continuing to control their destiny in an attempt to avoid the Ride-in-Game in the playoffs in Las Vegas. Paulo Eduardo Rossetto(Colorado, Brazil) got his Thunder off to a hot start with an 89.50-point ride aboard Dirty Dan in the top of the first – his 27th qualified ride of the season – but the unstoppable Sandro Batista (Pedra Petra, Brazil) extended his ride streak to nine-straight to give the Outlaws the lead, scored 90.70 atop Sky Diamond. Maikon Calixton Rocha (Orindiúva, Brazil) doubled the ride count for Kansas City in the bottom of the second, scored 87.80 points on Hercules to secure the crucial stretch-drive victory for the home team.

The final day of PBR Teams: Outlaw Days presented by Bad Boy Mowers and Tractors at T-Mobile Center concludes Sunday, Oct. 25 at 1:45 p.m. CT. All five of Sunday’s games will air live at 2 p.m. CT on The CW. Tickets are available to purchase at ticketmaster.com and PBR.com.
