SIX GAMES LEFT, FOUR GAMES AHEAD

Six regular-season games remain.

That is all that separates PBR Teams from the Championship in Las Vegas.

And the Missouri Thunder have put themselves in position to secure a postseason advantage before the league ever reaches Kansas City.

Missouri enters Maverick Days atop the standings at 21-8 after sweeping Ridge Rider Days in Glendale, extending its lead to four games over Austin, Nashville and Carolina.

The Gamblers, Stampede and defending Champion Cowboys all sit at 17-12, leaving three teams tied behind the Thunder and fighting for postseason positioning.

Missouri has been the league's most consistent team this season, leading PBR Teams with 70 qualified rides, a 48.3% riding percentage, 6,161.15 aggregate points and 11 90-point rides.

The Thunder also set a franchise record for regular-season victories during their 3-0 weekend in Glendale.

Now, with only six games remaining, Missouri can clinch a top-three seed and the accompanying first-day bye at the PBR Teams Championship as early as this weekend, depending on results.

The Thunder open Friday against Oklahoma before facing Austin on Saturday and Florida on Sunday.

But the race beneath them is far from settled.

Arizona and Texas are tied at 14-15, with the Ridge Riders holding the No. 5 position. Kansas City follows at 13-16, while New York and Florida both sit at 11-18.

The Mavericks own the aggregate-points tiebreaker over the Freedom, giving New York the No. 8 position ahead of Florida at No. 9.

Oklahoma rounds out the standings at 10-19.

Missouri has created some breathing room at the top.

Everywhere else, there is still plenty left to fight for.

HOME DIRT, A RIVALRY BELT AND THE RACE FOR SEVENTH

The concrete jungle is calling.

And for the New York Mavericks, their return to UBS Arena could not come at a more important time.

New York enters Go Bowling Maverick Days at 11-18, sitting eighth in the standings after a 1-2 showing in Glendale.

The Mavericks are chasing the red-hot Kansas City Outlaws, who sit two games ahead at 13-16 in the No. 7 position.

The stakes extend beyond bragging rights.

Climbing to seventh would allow New York to avoid the opening play-in game at the PBR Teams Championship in Las Vegas, giving the Mavericks every reason to make the most of their final regular-season homestand.

But the road will not be easy.

New York opens Friday against an Arizona team fresh off a perfect 3-0 homestand, welcomes the Florida Freedom on Saturday and closes Sunday against the Texas Rattlers.

And Saturday's showdown brings a little extra motivation.

New York and Florida renew their rivalry with the belt on the line in the concrete jungle, adding another chapter to the teams' ongoing battle.

Florida arrives with a new weapon after acquiring Luciano de Castro from Arizona in exchange for Alex Cerqueira.

The move reunites Castro with head coach Paulo Crimber, who has been trying to bring the Brazilian onto his roster since leaving Arizona years ago.

Castro arrived at Florida's practice this week looking like the same old Luciano that Crimber has wanted all along, giving the Freedom another potential difference-maker before their trip to New York.

The Mavericks' projected Friday lineup features Bob Mitchell, Mauricio Gulla Moreira, Marco Rizzo, Afonso Quintino and Hudson Bolton.

Bolton closes the lineup against Valiante, while Rizzo draws Big Iron.

The Mavericks have their work cut out for them against Arizona, which owns a commanding 9-1 advantage in the all-time series.

But with home dirt beneath their boots, a rivalry belt up for grabs and a chance to change their postseason path, New York has plenty to ride for.

GLENDALE'S PERFECT THREE

Three teams left the desert without a blemish.

Missouri, Arizona and Kansas City each went 3-0 at Ridge Rider Days, creating some separation at the top of the standings while shaking up the postseason race below.

The Thunder knocked off New York, Texas and Carolina to extend their lead and establish a new franchise record for regular-season wins.

Arizona took care of Austin, Oklahoma and Nashville, climbing into fifth place after entering the weekend in the bottom half of the standings.

The Kansas City Outlaws may have made the loudest statement of all.

Kansas City defeated Florida, Nashville and Texas, extending its winning streak to four games and climbing into seventh place.

The Outlaws have now won six of their last seven games, a dramatic turnaround for a team that had spent much of the season near the bottom of the standings.

And the numbers back up the momentum.

Kansas City owns the league's fourth-best riding percentage at 38.6%, trailing only Missouri, Austin and Nashville.

Now, the Outlaws must defend their position against an Austin team tied for second, with Sandro Batista, Eric Henrique Domingos, Maikon Calixton Rocha, Hayden Welsh and Bruno Carvalho projected to start Friday.

Batista enters New York fourth in the MVP standings with 1,576.40 points and 18 qualified rides, tied for third-most in the league.

Meanwhile, the bulls have been making statements of their own.

Wicked Intentions earned a 47.40-point bull score in Glendale, tying Fire Zone for the highest bull score of the 2026 PBR Teams season.

With two regular-season events remaining, the competition is heating up on both sides of the chutes.

REMATCH RECAP

Friday's opening slate brings another collection of familiar rider-bull matchups, with several cowboys hoping history repeats itself and others looking for a little revenge.

Carolina's Adriano Salgado looks to remain perfect against Louisville Slugger after covering the bull for 87.55 points at Freedom Days earlier this season.

Nashville's Alan de Souza brings a 1-1 record into his matchup with undefeated Living On A Prayer. De Souza rode the bull for 86.50 points in Indianapolis last February before getting bucked off in 6.62 seconds in March 2026.

Teammate Daniel Feitosa is looking for revenge against Joker, which dispatched him in 3.44 seconds earlier this season in Austin.

Riquelmi Silva, meanwhile, knows Cowboy Playboy particularly well.

Silva is a perfect 2-for-2 against the bull, first earning 86.90 points at Gambler Days before adding an 88-point ride in Ridgedale last month.

Texas' Brady Fielder looks to remain unbeaten against Cramer after an 87-point ride in Big Sky, Montana, last July, while teammate Daniel Keeping is 1-for-1 against Big X following an 88-point ride in St. Louis in December 2024.

Florida's Murilo Henrique de Oliveira seeks revenge against Bank Roll after being dispatched in just 2.31 seconds in Sunrise earlier this season.

Austin's Dalton Kasel gets another shot at Flyin' Solo, which bucked him off in 3.04 seconds in Anaheim, while Dener Barbosa looks for his first qualified ride against MF Cupcake after two unsuccessful attempts.

For the hometown Mavericks, Mitchell looks to go 2-for-2 against Sunrise after an 86.80-point ride in Tacoma, Washington, earlier this year.

Moreira also brings a perfect record into his matchup with Show Biz, having previously covered the bull for 85.50 points.

Arizona's newly acquired Cerqueira draws Krispy Kreme, bringing a 1-1 record into the weekend after earning 86.85 points in January before getting bucked off in 5.73 seconds in Sioux Falls in April.

Teammate Everton Natan da Silva looks for another qualified ride aboard What a Day after recording 86.75 points on the bull last month.

With Missouri closing in on a postseason bye, New York fighting to escape the play-in game, Kansas City riding a four-game winning streak and the MVP race still separated by less than one 90-point ride, Maverick Days arrives with very little room left for mistakes before the road reaches Las Vegas.
