EDMONTON, Alta. – For the fifth time in history, the Command Tubular PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Canada National Finals, presented by Edmonton’s Best Hotels, will be held in Edmonton, Alberta. The season-culminating event, part of the elite Cup Series, will return to the state-of-the-art Rogers Place Nov. 14-15 to crown the 2025 PBR Canada Champion.

Season long, riders have the opportunity to compete at dozens of Cup Series and Touring Pro Division events across Canada to earn points towards the Canadian national standings, all in an effort to be the No. 1-ranked cowboy at year’s end and earn the coveted PBR Canada Championship. 

The Command Tubular PBR Canada National Finals, presented by Edmonton’s Best Hotels, are the richest international finals across the PBR. In 2025, the event will again pay out a record $250,000 purse, including a $100,000 bonus to be awarded to the 2025 PBR Canada Champion, and $50,000 awarded to the National Finals event winner. 

The bull riding action for 2025 Command Tubular PBR Canada National Finals, presented by Edmonton’s Best Hotels, begins at 7:00 p.m. MDT on Friday, November 14 and Saturday, November 15 at Rogers Place. 

Tickets for the event go on sale Friday, February 7 at 10:00 a.m. MT, and start at $40, standard fees may apply. They can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.ca.  

The 2025 slate of events marks the 10th season for the PBR Canada Cup Series, as a unified competitive series traveling across the country and broadcast on TSN.

This past November, Nick Tetz (Calgary, Alberta) cemented his name in history, completing a come-from-behind surge to be crowned the 2024 PBR Canada Champion, becoming just the fifth rider in history to win the title in multiple seasons.

Tetz, who won his first title in 2022, travelled to Edmonton for the 2024 Command Tubular PBR Canada National Finals, presented by Edmonton’s Best Hotels, ranked No. 2 in the standings, 21.75 points back of regular-season No. 1 Cody Coverchuk (Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan).

Riding lights out inside Rogers Place, home of the NHL’s Edmonton Oilers, Tetz went a perfect 4-for-4 to win the National Finals event title and clinch the title of 2025 PBR Canada Championship. He finished 248.25 points ahead of No. 2 Coverchuk. 

His efforts inside Rogers Place capped a record season. The Calgarian won an unprecedented 12 events, earning a historic $249,622.29 CAD on home soil. 

Tetz is also now just the fourth rider to win the PBR Canada Championship and PBR Canada National Finals in the same season. He joins Zane Lambert (2017 – Ponoka, Alberta), Coverchuk (2018) and Daylon Swearingen (2019 – Piffard, New York).

The Command Tubular PBR Canada National Finals, presented by Edmonton’s Best Hotels, is the tenth and final event of the 2025 PBR Canada Cup Series, the nation’s first-ever cross-country, nationally televised PBR series. 

The elite Cup Series features Canada’s top bull riders, alongside some of the PBR’s top international athletes, squaring off against the rankest bucking bulls in North America.
 
At the 2025 iteration of the PBR Canada National Finals, four riders will be seeking history – Tetz, Coverchuk, Buttar and Roy. 

Should Tetz repeat as Canadian Champion he would become the first rider to win the title in consecutive seasons, and tie Roy for most Championships won by one rider. Should Coverchuk or Buttar earn their third Canadian Championship, they would also tie Roy for most national titles held by one rider in history. If Roy were to earn his fourth national title, he would further solidify his standing as one of Canada’s greatest bull riders ever.
