Key Storylines

A one-night format with money on the line

The PBR Space Cowboys Presented by United States Space Force may not carry PBR points, but there is still plenty at stake inside Falcon Stadium. The event features a $250,000 total purse, the payout is determined by team finish: the winning team earns $10,000 per rider, the second-place team earns $5,000 per rider and the third-place team earns $2,500 per rider. The five riders from the winning team selected to compete in the Shootout Round will also receive an additional $3,000 bonus for climbing aboard one more bull and helping secure the win.

Space Cowboys 101

This special one-night event will feature three 10-man teams representing United States Space Force commands: Combat Forces Command, Space Systems Command and Space Training and Readiness Command. All 30 riders will compete in Round 1, with team standings determined by each team’s cumulative score across 10 outs. From there, the top two teams advance to a clean-slate Shootout Round, where each captain selects five riders for a 5-on-5 showdown to determine the event winner. The third-place team is eliminated after Round 1, making every qualified ride critical from the jump.

Marco Rizzo leads Space Systems Command

Reigning Rookie of the Year Marco Rizzo will serve as team captain for Space Systems Command, stepping into a leadership role after one of the strongest rookie campaigns in recent PBR history. Coming off a record rookie year, Rizzo now gets the chance to captain his own squad in a unique team-formatted event, helping select riders, serving as a team spokesman and holding the authority to initiate replay challenges throughout the competition.

Kade Madsen returns

Kade Madsen is back in the draw as he continues to work his way back to form following months away from competition with a PCL injury sustained in Utah during the Unleash The Beast season. This weekend will mark just his second weekend riding PBR bulls since returning, giving the young talent another opportunity to regain rhythm and confidence in a high-energy setting at Falcon Stadium.
