GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Nashville Stampede (16-6) overtook the Missouri Thunder (15-7) atop the PBR Teams standings during the second night of PBR Teams: Cowboy Days presented by Patriot Mobile competition in Greensboro, N.C. Saturday night.

Nashville rode three bulls to defeat the hometown Carolina Cowboys (13-9) 260.75-88.75 during the fifth of five 5-vs.-5 games hosted at First Horizon Coliseum to surpass the Thunder in the league standings.

Alan de Souza (Tremembé, Brazil) immediately went the distance for Nashville during Game 5’s opening out, scored 87.9 points atop Ima Thug. Guilherme Valleiras (Pirassununga, Brazil) evened the count at one ride score per side via an electric 88.75 points on Rocket Man to recapture the lead moments later. Gustavo Luiz da Silva (Inocência, Brazil) quickly put Nashville into the lead once more with 85.9 points as the back-and-forth exchange continued.

Rogério Venâncio (Paranaita, Brazil) recorded a clutch conversion on Hay Train for Nashville’s third score, clinching the Stampede’s fifth-straight victory. The Cowboys fell to 1-1 at their hometown showcase.

The Oklahoma Wildcatters (9-13) pulled off an upset victory over the streaking Missouri Thunder (15-7) during Saturday’s opening showdown. Paulo Eduardo Rossetto (Colorado, Brazil) extended his PBR Teams’ record-setting qualified ride streak to 15-straight conversions as the Thunder’s electric lead-off rider went the distance to open Game 1 aboard Toad for 85.90 points. Rossetto also advanced to the top of the PBR Teams MVP race early Saturday night.

Oklahoma’s Eduardo Matos (Emilianópolis, Brazil) instantly answered with an 8-second ride atop Cowboy Playboy(88.55) to put the Wildcatters ahead. Kaiden Loud (Kaufman, Texas) was next to strike in the second (87.7), making it two-straight conversions for Oklahoma. Winy dos Santos (Loanda, Brazil) recorded 87.5 points on Flapjack to give the Wildcatters a two-score lead, but Missouri’s Macaulie Leather provided the Thunder with 87.75 points to start the fourth. Despite Maverick Smith’s (Cabool, Missouri) successful re-ride aboard Mike’s Motive (88.20), the Thunder came up short, with the Wildcatters edging Missouri by a mere 1.90 points to snap the Thunder’s four-game winning streak.

The Austin Gamblers (12-10) converted three bulls to defeat the Kansas City Outlaws (7-15) 251.75-88.25 and are now 1-1 in Greensboro. Three-time PBR World Champion Jose Vitor Leme (Ribas do Rio Pardo, Brazil) immediately reclaimed the top spot atop the PBR Teams MVP race, now 5.5 points ahead of Rossetto with a textbook 89.65-point conversion to start Game 2. Fellow World Champion Kaique Pacheco (Itatiba, Brazil) kept the momentum flowing for the Gamblers with an 88.20-point strike on Without Warning to put Austin up two bulls. Eric Henrique Domingos (Pérola, Brazil) provided a retaliatory effort during the following out, scored 88.25 points to get the Outlaws on the scoresheet. Despite the Outlaws getting back in the win column Friday night, Kansas City dropped Game 2 three ride scores to one, with Austin’s Dener Barbosa (Paulo de Faria, Brazil) providing the final conversion of the contest (73.90).

The New York Mavericks (7-15) defeated the Arizona Ridge Riders (10-12) 164.25–88.16 in walk-off fashion, courtesy of a dramatic bottom-of-the-fifth ride from Marco Rizzo (Quitman, Georgia).

Both Everton Natan da Silva (Viradouro, Brazil) and Mauricio Gulla Moreira (Gaviao Peixoto, Brazil) earned re-ride attempts during the game’s first two outs. Silva struck first with an 88.15-point conversion for Arizona. Moreira closed the gap to .65 points in scoring 87.50 points aboard Whiplash during his own re-ride. In the bottom of the fifth, with the teams tied at one bull each, Rizzo only needed a qualified ride for the win. He guided the Mavericks to the finish line with 76.75 points atop Nervous Hospital for the Mavericks third-consecutive victory.

The Texas Rattlers (12-10) defeated the Florida Freedom (9-13) in another close, dramatic game. Brady Fielder(Clermont, Australia) and Daniel Keeping (Montague, Texas) got the Rattlers on the scoreboard on the team’s first two attempts thanks to respective 89 and season-high 91.5-point qualified rides. The Freedom battled back with late-game responses from João Lucas Campos (Porto Feliz, Brazil) (89.4) and Vinicius Rodrigues Pereira (Itapagipe, Brazil) (86.1) during the third and fourth frames, but came up five points short, 180.50-175.50.

The third and final day of PBR Teams: Cowboy Days presented by Patriot Mobile at First Horizon Coliseum concludes Sunday, Sept. 20 at 12:15 p.m. ET. All five games on Sunday will air live at 12:30 p.m. ET on The CW.
