Biography

Dalton Kasel may have been born at just 5 pounds, but the Texan has made a heavyweight mark on PBR history. Known as “Mr. 90-point” for his string of high-marked rides, the Muleshoe native was the 2019 PBR Rookie of the Year and a key piece of the Austin Gamblers’ 2024 Teams Championship roster.

Off the dirt, he’s a husband, dad, and stock contractor who loves raising bulls, training horses, and keeping things simple.

His gear bag carries little more than bubble gum and headphones, and his gas-station go-to is Allsup’s beef mini tacos.He drinks his coffee black. Before bull riding took over, Kasel played shooting guard on the basketball court and lined up as a corner and running back on the football field — athletic roots that run in the family. His dad was a college athlete, and those early lessons in discipline and drive still shape him today.

He looks up to his dad and family friend Riley Samford in life — two men who helped shape his cowboy grit. And while football and basketball once competed for his time, bull riding always won out — the dream he first discovered sitting on the couch beside his dad, watching the sport.
